IIMA releases audited placement report 2025; recruiters reaffirm strong trust in MBA-PGP talent pool
The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has released its audited Placement Report 2025 for the two-year Post Graduate Programme in Management (MBA-PGP), reaffirming the continued trust of recruiters in its talent pool. The report, prepared in line with the Indian Placement Reporting Standards (IPRS), reflects both an increase in salaries and broader recruiter participation despite a challenging job market.
Prof. Viswanath Pingali, Chairperson, Placement, IIMA, said that the results highlight the Institute’s commitment to ensuring recruiter-recruitee fit and providing students with roles aligned to their aspirations. He emphasized the importance of IIMA’s long-standing practice of publishing only third-party audited statistics, adding that the transparent process strengthens trust among recruiters. Recruitment Secretary of MBA-PGP 2025, Atharva Kapadnis, noted that the Institute’s flexible placement policies allowed students to pursue multiple opportunities, ensuring better outcomes even in a difficult year.
The report reveals a median salary of ₹34.59 lakh per annum and a mean salary of ₹35.50 lakh per annum. In contrast to sluggish recruitment trends at other business schools, IIMA recorded improvements in both mean and median salaries. The Institute’s placement figures are reported on the basis of Maximum Earning Potential (MEP), which offers a more accurate and student-centric view of compensation compared to conventional Cost to Company (CTC) metrics. Recruiters from across industries continued to place strong faith in IIMA, making it a preferred destination for top leadership roles.
IIMA has been publishing audited placement reports since 2011 and remains one of the first management institutes in India to adopt this practice. By maintaining strict adherence to IPRS guidelines and ensuring integrity in its processes, the Institute continues to uphold its reputation as a global leader in management education.
