Uproot BJP govt: NAPM yatra exhorts people in Rajasthan

The Constitution Samman Yatra, organized by the National Alliance of People's Movements (NAPM), completed its Rajasthan leg, holding a conference and a public meeting in Udaipur calling upon people to uproot the BJP government to protect the constitution. Issues discussed during the yatra included pension, ration card, MNREGA, all of which have "failed" to be implemented by the government.
During its meeting with the people, the yatra highlighted burning issues such as robbery of resources, violation of the PESA law by snatching the rights to gram sabha, onslaught of minorities, even as terming Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Gaurav Yatra "shameful yatra".
Before reaching Madhya Pradesh's Balagudha village, the yatra visited Mandsaur, Ratlam and Dungarpur. While at Dungarpur, the yatra heard people complaint about adivasi rights, at Ratlam it found people, pointing towards adverse impact of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and the industrial corridors. People said, government giving water to industries in Malwa region without giving water to farmers.
