Justdial Limited, a top company that operates local search services through its desktop and mobile platforms, has reported a sharp rise in online searches for solar-related and electrician services across India, signalling growing consumer interest in renewable energy solutions and supporting infrastructure. The company’s year-on-year analysis comparing search volumes between February 2024–January 2025 and February 2025–January 2026 shows significant momentum in energy-focused service categories nationwide.
At the national level, searches for solar-related services increased by 43 percent, reflecting accelerating interest in solar panel installations and allied solutions among households and businesses. Searches for electrician services rose 9 percent during the same period, indicating parallel demand for skilled professionals to handle installations, upgrades and maintenance linked to expanding energy needs.
City-level data highlights particularly strong growth in emerging and metropolitan markets. Patna recorded the highest surge in solar-related searches with a 206 percent increase, more than tripling year-on-year volumes. Delhi followed with a 153 percent jump, while Bangalore registered an 81 percent rise. Hyderabad saw a 53 percent increase and Chennai posted a 35 percent growth. Other cities also reported steady gains, including Nagpur at 32 percent, Pune at 21 percent, Surat at 17 percent, Lucknow at 14 percent and Mumbai at 13 percent, suggesting broad-based traction across regions.
In the electrician services category, Ahmedabad led growth with a 14 percent increase in searches. Chennai, Pune and Surat each recorded a 12 percent rise, while Delhi, Mumbai and Indore posted 11 percent growth. The data indicates consistent and widespread demand for electrical expertise across major urban centres.
According to Justdial, the simultaneous rise in solar and electrician-related searches points to a broader shift toward energy-conscious investments and infrastructure preparedness. Industry observers attribute the trend to rising electricity costs, growing awareness of renewable energy benefits and increased focus on long-term operational efficiency. The pattern may also reflect ongoing commercial and industrial expansion alongside sustained residential demand for reliable power solutions.
