Democratic environment has transformed into political environment of violence

Here is the story of a girl and a senior. A girl in class V was suddenly asked what politics and corruption are. She anxiously shared that everywhere (in the family and outside), everybody used to gossip and debate on the issue of politics and corruption. Even some of her friends were also in search of the meaning of it (in a playful mood). They also asked her whether she had any knowledge of the same.
To whom this girl wanted to know about politics and corruption, he was kept quiet for a while. He was thinking about how to deal with this childhood curiosity because if she did not get positive knowledge, it might be impacted badly. The question was brilliant and sensitive. The behaviour of seniors like us is the cause of childhood curosity.
He broke his silence when the girl knocked him. She said, ‘Sorry! Excuse me. I have no knowledge that it would hurt you. I will never ask this type of question. I asked you to dissolve our worry because of too much violence around us’.
But he gently replied that it was not so, as the girl was thinking. He replied, "When you go to market with your parents, you might demand for many things like toys, dolls, and so on. But your parents neither ignore your demand nor do they meet your demand. They usually offer you something with which you might be satisfied. This method and strategy adopted by your parents are politics’. The girl’s feedback was, "Is it so funny?’ But he avoided silently answering the girl's question about corruption because he was not prepared for it.
This query from a child knocks us out of the political environment we are cultivating throughout the country. Is it the result of our political empowerment in the largest democracy in the world, India? Or the democratic environment has been transforming into a political environment of violence and chaos. Political behaviour and involvement in politics have a bad impact on a child’s mind. This behaviour has crossed the limit, which is dangerously hampering the shaping of future minds. Sensitive seniors should be cautious about the matter.
Due to the irresponsibility of the seniors, the child has to grow up in such a political milieu. Minors must learn and adapt to the fact that politics is their ultimate destination for survival. In the future, it would be controlled by their survival in this country. It teaches them to struggle politically for their existence. Quality, intelligence, education, etc. would not be helpful for healthy living.
The seniors in Indian politics should be more responsible for minors, and they should rectify themselves for the sake of the future.

Urgent need to study cause of large number of natural deaths in Gulf countries

By Venkatesh Nayak* According to data tabled in Parliament in April 2018, there are 87.76 lakh (8.77 million) Indians in six Gulf countries, namely Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). While replying to an Unstarred Question (#6091) raised in the Lok Sabha, the Union Minister of State for External Affairs said, during the first half of this financial year alone (between April-September 2018), blue-collared Indian workers in these countries had remitted USD 33.47 Billion back home. Not much is known about the human cost of such earnings which swell up the country’s forex reserves quietly. My recent RTI intervention and research of proceedings in Parliament has revealed that between 2012 and mid-2018 more than 24,570 Indian Workers died in these Gulf countries. This works out to an average of more than 10 deaths per day. For every US$ 1 Billion they remitted to India during the same period there were at least 117 deaths of Indian Workers in Gulf ...
